My "Dream" Church

A church where Christ is the center, not the pastor
A church that is firmly grounded in Biblical principles, but offers Grace when the people don't live up to those principles
A church where worship is more than something done on Sunday morning while the music is playing, but is lived every moment of every day
A church that can dig deep into both the intellect and the soul
A church that is willing to look at itself in a critical light and make changes where necessary
A church that isn't afraid to ask the tough questions and brings up the issues that are normally left in the darkness
A church deeply rooted in the ways of our faith's fathers and mothers
A church where the traditional views of how things ought to be done is challenged
A church that does not believe they are better than anyone else, but knows that only through serving as part of the Body will God's Kingdom come
A church that is evangelism oriented, in a way that brings people to know the heart of God and not into a church building
A church that is missions focused and world focused, and knows that there is a difference
A church that is a family, but not exclusive
A church that is concerned about its members, but does not gossip
A church that equips and empowers its members to use their gifts and talents
A church that allows its members to use those gifts
Does this church exist? One can only dream
I want to be a part of "THE" church, not "A" church
